    Since 2006, e27 has been constantly and consistently building a community around technology startups. This encompasses everyone who wants to make a difference in the digital landscape in Asia including developers, entrepreneurs, investors and even the users.
    We’ve been holding events on a continuous basis catering to the community and help the different set of users get connected to each other.
    With our past unConference event, we’ve showcased more than 50 startups in their early stages, who have now gone ahead to win laurels from various sectors. This makes us immensely proud for them and also brings about responsibility on our shoulder to provide a bigger and better platform for showcasing and engaging in discussions and topics relevant to the web technology era.

    If you are interested in showcasing your product at echelon, here are the details of the event: The Startup components can be classified into two categories
    1) Startups exhibiting
    - Your startup will be featured on either Day 1 or Day 2 of the event
    - There will be exclusive time slots for networking and interacting with the startups
    -
    2) Startup Launch
    - If you are a startup under stealth mode or closed beta, then you can apply to either pitch or exhibit at the event.

    We’ve been holding events on a continuous basis catering to the community and our aim is to help the various members of the startup ecosystem connect with each other.

    With our past unConference events, we’ve showcased more than 50 startups in their early stages, who have gone ahead to win laurels from various sectors. This further encourages us to provide a bigger platform for startups to not only exhibit their product, but also give them a platform to interact with  investors, early adopters and potential customers.

    With echelon 2010, we are planning to showcase not 20, 30 or 40, but 50 startups over two days!

    We are therefore pleased to announce that applications for exhibiting at echelon 2010 are now officially open. Please note that this time we are sprucing things up a little. We have two broad categories of startups: Startups Exhibiting and Startups Launching.

    Startups Exhibiting

    The exhibition will feature 25 new startups on each day. Like unConference’09, we will have dedicated cocktail tables for each startup, which is to enhance the interaction without any separation between the event attendees and startups. We will also have a dedicated session each day exclusively for attendees and guests to check out the exhibitors enabling more discussions and networking opportunities.

    For all the startups applying, the product should be from the web/mobile space. We select startups based on their product innovation, business model feasibility and the market dynamics.

    The exhibiting startups will be featured in either Day 1 or Day 2 of the event exhibition.

    Startups Launching

    We’ve realized that a lot of startups release their products without much coverage through any channels. Now this is partly due the lack of marketing wherewithal, resource constraints and of course focusing largely on the product development rather than spreading awareness. This is the reason why we have a pitching session each year and this time through e27 echelon 2010 launching session, the spotlight is on your product and you have the opportunity to gain the attention of all the attendees including investors, media partners, potential customers at one go.

    For the startups launching, the only rule is that your product should be in closed beta or stealth mode before the launch at the event. The launching startup will get to pitch in front of a panel of judges who will be providing their insights on different aspects of the product.

    We are still ironing out details on who will be on the panel and will notify you immediately once we have confirmed our list of judges. Please note that, once your startup has been launched on day 1, you will get to exhibit your product on day 2.

    We will be selecting 50 applications in total for echelon out of which 10 never before seen startups will get to participate in the pitching sessions.
