31 Asian Startups Among the Recipients of Red Herring Global 100 Award

Red Herring, one of the top media companies covering innovation, technology, financing and entrepreneurial activity released their Global 100 awards winners list recently. The awards go to most promising and innovative startups around the world. We are glad to announce that 2C2P and Voicetap – previously featured on e27, have gone ahead to win the award. Mozat, which provides mobile social networking is also among the winners list this year. Our Congratulations to the team behind these companies and hoping to see more Asian Startups winning recognitions globally.Past award winners include Google, Yahoo, Skype, Netscape and Salesforce.

IMHO award seeking and distribution model will always fail coz such processes will always be depend on the quality of evaluators who decide the list. The list has no value.

@Arvind – I agree that awards always have some kind of hidden agenda or an inherent bias behind them, but it definitely acts as a validation for some product companies and further motivate them to innovate.
