    patsnap logoPatSnap is one of the earlier web companies to come out from the fledgling Singapore startup scene. Founded in October 2007 and funded by NUS Enterprise, they provide a set of online or in-house patent search and analytic services that enable their users to translate their IP information, which in turn provides added insight and actual value to their customers. Their database of patents spans US, EP, WIPO/PCT and China and are freshly updated on a weekly basis. Their future plans include covering more Asian countries and translating their content into multiple languages. While they are primarily based out of Singapore, they have offices in United States, China and Malaysia. They are currently in the process of looking for talented people to join their team.Backend/Infrastructure Engineer

    Responsibilities

    1. Responsible for handling our large server with more than 50 million of patents record
    2. Manage and operate our grid computing infrastructure
    3. Fine-tune our search engine
    4. Lead or work with a team of programmers

    Job requirements

    1. Independent and strong problem-solving abilities, good language skills and logical expression, good sense of teamwork
    2. Familiar with Linux system installation and have Centos experience
    3. Familiar with the Mysql database management, optimization
    4. Familiar with search engine technology like Lucene/Solr – indexing, crawling, parsing, optimization
    5. Familiar with Java based algorithm design

    Business Development Manager

    Responsibilities

    1. Works in the field and interacts with the customers
    2. Followup and maintain several company’s sales accounts
    3. Have excellent marketing skills
    4. Work with product development team closely to give input on customers feedback

    Job requirements

    1. Excellent work ethic and attention to detail
    2. Fast learner
    3. Passionate and obsessive about quality and correctness
    4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    5. May need to travel around the region
