John Doerr took the stage at Apple’s announcement of its iPhone software developer kit and announced a $100 million fund – led by Matt Murphy at Kleiner and will be called the iFund – to invest in startups that create apps for the iPhone.
There are also other similar, but smaller funds announced to invest in Facebook Apps – $10 million fbFund and a Facebook-only fund from Bay Partners.
