3 Months + 6 Days into Facebook Platforms

InsideFacebook has a nice summary of the achivements of the FaceBook Platforms since its launch 3 Months and 6 days ago.

I must say it has been simply amazing. Of course the Facebook API was launched about a year ago but the F8 Platform was revolutionary in the way it approached the opening up of a system. Some time ago when Bjorn, Qie Tao and I visited Facebook, we were told the average age of the company was about 21 yrs old. It’s really amazing how when you put young people, smart people to create something for their peers, they can come up with F8.

Way to go…The next few months should see the emergence of more sophisticated apps that do way more than the usual stick-on-the-profile kind of things.

Don’t you think that because of F8, the punch has somehow been taken out of the rest of Web 2.0?
